Marissa GolczewskiInstructor
Marissa (G) grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she began taking dance and gymnastics classes at the age of 3. What started as an extracurricular activity, suggested by her mother, quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Marissa began with tap and ballet, but as she grew, so did her love for dance. She trained in almost every style, including jazz, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, pointe, ballet, tap, and acro. While she loved all styles, acro was particularly special to her due to her years as a gymnast. She was always thrilled by the joy on her teammates’ faces when they mastered a new trick or skill.

Marissa began competing at age 10 and quickly became a standout in regional and national competitions, earning numerous titles during her 8 years on the competitive circuit. In her senior year of high school, she was invited to tour with Revel Dance Convention as a Pro Reveler for the 2022/2023 season, a huge honor in the dance world. Currently, Marissa is studying at the University of South Florida, where she plans to graduate with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a minor in Dance.

Marissa’s journey with A & G began in September 2017 as a student, and now, as an A & G Alumni, she’s thrilled to be teaching at the studio that helped shape her own dance path. From an early age, Marissa knew she wanted to become a dance teacher, and that dream came true when she was invited to join the A & G faculty after graduating high school. She loves teaching acro, tap, hip hop, and contemporary classes, and is excited to begin choreographing in the future.

As a teacher, Marissa is her students’ biggest fan, always ensuring the classroom is filled with positivity and encouragement. Her passion for teaching and helping her students grow is truly infectious. Marissa can’t wait to see where this exciting journey will take her and is eager to continue inspiring the next generation of dancers at A & G!
