Katie Gehringer born and raised in St. Petersburg Florida, started dancing at age 8 years old with Tap. After one year, she quickly picked up all other genres. Katie started teaching and carrying her own classes at age 14 as well as assisting teachers at her dance studio. At a young age she knew that teaching was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Katie and co owner Tiffany Avey opened A&G Dance Academy when she was just 18 years old, with the goal to create a place for students to grow, and learn in all aspects of life not just dance and to have a place that they love to be. Katie’s passion for teaching and the love she has for her students and their growth is undeniable.
