Competition Team General Overview
The A&G Dance Company prides itself in providing all dancers and parents with expert dance training and a positive learning experience for all involved. Therefore, it is our goal to provide an opportunity to all dancers who are willing to work hard to achieve their goals while still having fun and making memories. AGDC strives to provide all members with a positive experience while still being engulfed in a healthy competitive atmosphere. All dancers willing to be a part of the AGDC, should understand both the time commitment involved along with its seriousness as this team is much more demanding than most extra-curricular activities.
- Each Dancer is required to participate in 4 weeks of summer classes between June-July (do not have to be completed consecutively).
- Mandatory Ballet Boot Camp & Company Week: $300 ($250-Second Family Member)
- Ballet Boot Camp Monday-Friday 9am-12pm
- Company Rehearsal 1pm-5pm
Time Commitment/Attendance

- Dancers may not exceed more than 3 absences in ANY competition rehearsal and no more than 3 absences per semester from required classes (3 absences per semester) or risk probation/termination. Serious injuries, illness, or family emergencies are the only exceptions
- Competition Rehearsals are for ALL COMPANY MEMBERS are Fridays from 4:00-9:00 as well as scheduled time during the week for individual teams. Dancers will be given schedules in advance and will not have to be present at all rehearsals if their routine is not rehearsing.
- Each member will be chosen for solos, duets, trios, small groups or large groups on a very selective basis. Some choreography may begin after auditions and throughout the summer if choreography fees are paid and students are available to rehearse. Therefore, contracts will be given out for those routines prior to the distribution of contracts during Company Week.
