Here at A & G Dance Academy, we’d like for you to see for yourself what a great dance studio we have!
We invite you to try it out for yourself by offering one, free trial class.
On the day of your trial, please arrive 15 minutes early so that we can arrange proper shoes for you to borrow.
Ballet
We require all dancers to take ballet. Ballet classes are designed to teach the students the basics of dance, such as positions, body alignment, balance, and technique, that are used in all styles.
RULES
Dancers are REQUIRED to wear a slick bun for ballet
No jewelry (Small earrings are acceptable.)
Leotard and tights, and ballet shoes must be worn. No leg warmers, t-shirts, booty shorts, or sweaters.
Try to be in class before the teacher has to call for you. If you are late, knock first and ask permission to come into class.
Always work hard and know that Ballet is the basics for all dance!
Acrobatics
A class focused on tumbling, flexibility, and strengthening. Here you’ll learn all the “tricks” used in the world of dance.
Contemporary
Contemporary is a combination of modern, ballet and jazz. Dancers will focus on musicality and rhythm and will be challenged to bring emotion and individuality to this form of dance. Ballet is required to be taken in order to take contemporary due to the high technical demand.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop featured many forms such as popping, locking, breaking, and so many more. It challenges dancer to find their own groove and add their own style to all moves.
Jazz
Jazz can be expressed in many forms from all eras, it originated from the African dance styles. It’s emphasis is on rhythm and technique. Ballet is required to be studied along side of jazz.
Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre is a combination of Acting, jazz and sometimes Lip Syncing. Dancers will learn how to portray characters, act out roles, and use dance skills to incorporate movement.
Tap
Tap is rooted in African American history and has its own techniques and steps to learn. It’s an exciting rhythmic dance and is not only enjoyable to watch but to hear as well.
Ballroom
Ballroom dancing is a style of partner dancing that combines elegance, precision, and artistry. It encompasses a variety of dance forms, including both smooth and Latin styles. Overall, ballroom dancing combines technical skill with artistic expression, creating an elegant and captivating form of dance.
